Jay Cutler still being awesome, Bears quarterback arrested for DUI

Share

Jay Cutler, Chicago’s most beloved interception specialist (What quarterbacks are called in Chicago), is back in the news, but not for a return to the NFL. No, he’s leveled up: the former Bears quarterback was arrested for DUI and illegal possession of a handgun, proving that his “bad decisions” aren’t just for Sundays anymore. After rear-ending a car in Tennessee, police say Cutler refused sobriety tests—because when you’ve thrown that many picks, why would you trust your judgment?

Naturally, Bears fans everywhere are standing by their man. “The guy’s still got it,” said Brian T., 45, while adjusting his Cutler jersey and wiping away a single proud tear. “This is the same maverick energy he brought to the field every week—unpredictable, wild, and sometimes dangerous.”

Social media exploded after his mugshot went viral, with reactions ranging from the concerned to the nostalgic. But while some groaned, middle-aged Bears fans across America gave a collective nod of approval. Not only did Cutler nail the arrest, but the guy also secured a divorce from reality star Kristin Cavallari back in 2020. “The man’s a legend,” said Steve L., 52, while scrolling through old Smoking Jay Cutler memes on his phone. “Who wouldn’t be proud of a guy who can pull off a breakup like that and still look like he just doesn’t care?”

For Cutler, the bar remains low, and the drinks keep flowing, even if the legal consequences do too. Meanwhile, Bears fans everywhere have a new reason to shout “Hell yeah” and shake their heads in admiration of the most iconic quarterback to ever don the navy and orange.
